How rotation works
The rotate tool sets the rotation flag on every page in the document, the same way a PDF reader would when you choose View → Rotate. Page contents are unchanged, so the file size and quality stay the same. Any text or annotations on the page rotate with it.
All files are deleted automatically 24 hours after upload. Pdfmark never inspects, copies, or analyses the contents of your PDF.
Why is there a watermark on the free version?
Pdfmark is built around a flat $2.99 per finished file. The free rotate tool exists so you can try the service without spending anything, and the watermark is a single small line of text at the bottom of each page so you can see exactly what you're getting. Paying $2.99 removes the watermark and opens the file in the editor, where you can also add text, signatures, dates, images, and checkmarks before downloading the clean version.
