Terms.
Effective 26 May 2026.
These terms govern your use of pdfmark.netand the tools available there (collectively, “Pdfmark”). Pdfmark is operated by TerraSight Corporation (“we”, “us”). By using Pdfmark you agree to these terms.
1. What Pdfmark is
Pdfmark is a small set of browser-based, pay-per-use PDF tools. Each tool action costs a flat fee (currently US$2.99) paid via Stripe. There are no accounts and no subscriptions.
The available tools today are an editor (add text, signatures, dates, checkmarks, images, page reorder/merge, server-rendered paid download) and a send-and-track tool (shareable link with an engagement report 24 hours after first open). We may add or remove tools at any time without notice.
2. Sessions and retention
Files you upload and any work you do on them live in temporary sessions:
- Editor sessions auto-delete 24 hours after upload.
- Tracker documents (after payment) live for 7 days, then auto-delete along with any tracking events and viewer data.
- Pending tracker uploads (before payment) are deleted after 30 minutes.
You are responsible for downloading or sharing your finished file within those windows. Once a session expires we cannot recover the file or any associated data.
3. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. By initiating a checkout you also agree to Stripe's terms (stripe.com/legal).
Each fee buys exactly one tool action: for the editor, the right to download the final rendered PDF for that session; for the tracker, the activation of one share link with engagement reporting. Tax may be added at checkout depending on your location.
4. Refunds
Because each charge unlocks an irreversible result (a downloaded file, or the activation of a share link that may already have been seen by a recipient), payments are non-refundable except where required by law or where Pdfmark has materially failed to deliver the service. Refund requests for service failures can be sent to legal@terrasightcorp.com.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use Pdfmark to:
- Upload, edit, or distribute content you do not have the right to share.
- Process material that is illegal in the jurisdictions in which you or your recipients are located, including child sexual abuse material, content that infringes copyright, fraud, or material targeting individuals for harassment.
- Forge signatures or alter documents in a way designed to defraud.
- Attempt to bypass the paywall, reverse-engineer the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or interfere with other users' sessions.
- Send unsolicited bulk email through the tracker (i.e. use the share-link emails as a spam vector).
We reserve the right to delete any session and refuse service to anyone who breaches these rules.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. While your session is active you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process that content solely to run the tool you've chosen (render the PDF, send the email, serve the share link). The licence ends when your session ends.
7. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. In short: nothing about you is retained after your session ends.
8. Service availability
Pdfmark is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, defect-free operation, or that the service will meet a specific purpose. We may change, pause, or discontinue any tool at any time.
9. Intellectual property
All rights in the Pdfmark software, design, brand, and website content (other than user-uploaded files) are reserved to TerraSight Corporation.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Pdfmark. Our total liability to you for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Toronto, Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or your use of Pdfmark, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time by changing the effective date and the text on this page. Continued use of Pdfmark after a change means you accept the updated terms.
